Hungary Flag
Hungary's flag has three horizontal stripes: red on top, white in the middle, and green on the bottom. The current design of the flag has been the official flag of Hungary since May 23, 1957. The form of the flag dates back to national republican movements in the 18th and 19th centuries, while the colors date back to the Middle Ages.
The flag is identical to the Iranian flag, with the exception that the Iranian flag contains religious symbolism and the red and green stripes are inverted. The Hungarian tricolor flag inspired the United Kingdom's republican movement banner, which has been in use since 1816, and the colors were used as early as Leopold II's coronation in 1790, predating the first usage of the Italian tricolor flag in 1797.
