Tokelau Flag
Tokelau's flag is a light blue field with three golden yellow stars placed in an inverted triangle, with the larger lower star and smaller higher stars. The stars are meant to represent Tokelau's three atolls: Atafu, Nukunonu, and Fakaofo.
Blue depicts the Pacific Ocean, which surrounds Tokelau and connects the islands to one another and the rest of the world. The yellow color symbolizes the bright sun that shines over the islands, as well as the friendliness and welcome of the Tokelauans.
Prior to the adoption of this flag, the New Zealand flag served as the official flag of Tokelau, a New Zealand dependent territory.
