Ecuador Flag
The yellow band of the Ecuadorian flag represents the abundance of the country's natural resources, particularly its agriculture and minerals. The blue band represents the sky, the sea, and the ocean that surround the country, as well as the country's liberty and independence.
The red band represents the blood of the country's heroes, who fought for independence and the freedom of the people. The coat of arms in the center of the flag features a shield with a depiction of the country's landscape, including the snow-capped Chimborazo volcano and the Guayas River.
The shield is supported by a condor and a llama, which are native to Ecuador. Above the shield is a golden sun with rays, representing the country's abundance and prosperity. The motto “Dios, Patria, Libertad” (God, Homeland, Liberty) is inscribed on a ribbon below the shield, representing the country's commitment to these values.
