Falkland Islands Flag
The falkland islands' flag is a blue ensign with the union flag canton and the falkland islands coat of arms in the fly. The blue ensign is a British nautical flag with a blue field and the Union Flag in the canton. It is used by British Royal Navy ships as well as other boats registered in the United Kingdom.
The Falkland Islands' coat-of-arms depicts a ram's head, which represents sheep farming, an important activity in the islands, as well as a ship, which represents the islands' maritime past. the flag was officially adopted on january 25, 1999.
