The Hong Kong flag is the official flag of the People's Republic of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. In the heart of a Chinese red field is a white stylised five-petaled Hong Kong orchid tree bloom.

The design of the flag was first revealed on April 4, 1990, at the Third Session of the Seventh National People's Congress, and was later authorized on August 10, 1996, at the Fourth Plenum of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's Preparatory Committee. The use of the flag is governed by legislation established by the State Council's 58th Executive Meeting in Beijing.

The design of the flag is protected by Hong Kong's Basic Law, and the Regional Flag and Regional Emblem Ordinance contains restrictions covering its usage, ban of use, desecration, and fabrication. On July 1, 1997, during the ceremony marking the handover of sovereignty from the United Kingdom to China, the Hong Kong flag was officially adopted and raised.
