Флаг Танзании
Флаг Танзании

Tanzania's flag is made up of a yellow-edged black diagonal band separated diagonally from the bottom hoist-side corner by a green upper triangle and a light blue lower triangle. Tanzania was founded in 1964 by the combination of Tanganyika and Zanzibar, and this flag was adopted.

The flag's design contains features from each of these states' previous flags. The flag is one of only a few national flags with a diagonal line, with others including the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Namibia, Trinidad and Tobago, and Brunei.

The flag's colors have symbolic meaning: the green triangle represents Tanzania's lush vegetation and rich agricultural resources, the blue triangle represents the Indian Ocean, which is an important source of livelihood for Tanzanians, and the black and yellow diagonal band represents the country's mineral wealth.

The flag is utilized in official ceremonies and functions as a symbol of unity and national identity for the country.
